Are you in a quick need of some extra cash?

Maybe you have an electric bill due at the end of the week or you need to make your car payment on time.

Whatever the case, making an extra $300 in one week is possible if you take on some creative side hustles.

In this post, I'll explore how to make 300 dollars in a week, how much money you can make with each, and much more. Let's get started!

KEY TAKEAWAYS:
Some of the best ways to make 300 dollars in a week include:
  • Working as a virtual assistant
  • Making money with gig apps
  • Flipping
  • Working a part time job

Best Ways to Make 300 Dollars in a Week

1. Take Paid Surveys

Taking paid surveys is one of the easiest ways to make extra cash online. Best of all, you can make money without paying anything to get started.

Just sit down, complete a few surveys, and start making money in 1 hour or less. It's that easy.

My favorite platforms include Rakuten Insight, InboxDollars, and Survey Junkie. Here's why I like each one:

  • Rakuten Insight – cash out once you reach $5 directly to PayPal
  • InboxDollars – free $5 or $10 welcome bonus when you register
  • Survey Junkie – offers high paying surveys and focus groups to earn more money

Now, completing online surveys isn't going to help you go from broke to millionaire status. But it's a quick and easy way to make money online for beginners when you need it.

Just dedicate a few hours each day to complete online surveys and you can make 300 dollars fast.

With InboxDollars you can make money in your free time taking surveys, watching videos, and more. Plus, when you register with the link below – you'll get a free $5! So why not give it a try??

2. Blogging

Another excellent option to make money online is blogging.

While this method is often overlooked, it can be one of the most lucrative methods to make $300 in a week, and even $300 a day after some time.

Starting a blog is easy and it's a side hustle that require little money to start.

In fact, you can start a blog for less than $150 in most cases.

Here how you can get started:

  1. Plan the topic of your blog – choose something you enjoy or are passionate about
  2. Purchase your domain name – I recommend Namecheap ($10)
  3. Purchase hosting – I recommend SiteGround ($10 per month)
  4. Install WordPress – SiteGround makes this super easy with just 1 click
  5. Choose a theme – there are plenty of free options you can choose from
  6. Start creating content!

It really is that easy to get your blog off the ground.

Now, the tough part is being consistent and continuing to create content even when you aren't making money.

You'll need to think of different ways to promote your blog in order to get traffic.

For example, you could use SEO, social media, or even email newsletters.

Blogs can generate revenue through several methods including display advertising, affiliate marketing, and selling digital products or courses.

The amount you can make will ultimately depend on the amount of traffic your site gets, but it's possible to make $10k a month or more.

For example, my portfolio of sites now generate over $20k a month in revenue. Not bad!

3. Become a Virtual Assistant

Another top choice for earning money online is to become a virtual assistant.

There are virtual assistants for just about every type of business.

For example, bloggers, ecommerce business owners, and even physical store owners could all need virtual assistants to help with tasks big and small.

Depending on the company you're working for, you could be tasked with anything from posting on social media accounts, to updating website content, or responding to customer service emails.

The cool thing about becoming a virtual assistant is you can choose whether you seek full-time, part-time, or even just temporary work.

The pay as a virtual assistant can also be extraordinary.

Some VAs can make over $25 per hour for their work, meaning just 12 hours of work would net you the 300 dollars you're looking for.

In most cases, you can earn anywhere from $15 to $25 per hour as a virtual assistant – which is still a great income with all of the perks.

If you aren't sure where to get started, I recommend checking out Carrie's Virtual Assistant Accelerator course to learn how to land high paying clients, and much more!

4. Freelance Writing

Freelance writing just might be the top way to make some much-needed extra money on your own schedule.

This is great for someone who loves to write, wants to work from home, or just needs to make extra income at their own pace. You don’t even have to be experienced to get started!

While you may have to start low at a beginner level, you have the opportunity to quickly advance once you’ve proven yourself.

Take it from me. I started with no experience, but freelance writing has quickly built me an income I never dreamed of before.

If you’ve done any writing in the past, create a portfolio that you can share with prospective clients. Otherwise, save samples of work as you go and start to build a portfolio. You might be forced to work at lower rates in the beginning – but it will be worth it once you start to grow your reputation as a writer.

So, how much can you really make?

I know some writers who make over $100k a year from freelance writing, but it will obviously depending on your skills and experience.

Some online publications pay writers per word. For example, a 1,000-word blog post might pay $200 – while other will give you a word count range and a fixed price.

Top freelance writers can charge over $.50 per word written! That means a 2,000-word blog post could net them $1,000 for just one piece!

Working as a freelance writer is one of the best ways to make $300 quickly, and in many cases – less than a couple of days.

It's a flexible job that allows you to make money from anywhere – what's not to like?

5. Try Gig Apps

Gig apps are the perfect way to make a little extra money whenever you have some free time.

Wether you have a couple of hours, or an entire day without much to do, why not make money?

There are many different options but some of my favorites include:

With most of these platforms, it's possible to earn over $20 per hour – which is a decent income considering you can work on your own schedule.

And if you complete multiple gigs in one day, it's easy to make $300 or more!

Keep in mind that gig apps are usually for those who are looking for supplemental income – not a full-time job (however, some people can make a full time living off Doordash).

So if you're looking for something more long term, you may want to consider other options.

With Doordash you can set your own schedule and work when you want. Earn over $20 per hour today!

6. Do Odd Jobs

Doing odd jobs for people can be a great way to make some additional money and you can easily make $300 in a week.

Many times, people will be happy to pay others to do odd jobs around their home. It might be something like raking their leaves, or maybe helping them clean out the attic.

You can search on platforms like NextDoor and Craigslist to find people in your area who might need help with odd jobs.

You can also use a gig app like Taskrabbit to find odd jobs around you that you can complete for money.

In my experience, it's best to charge hourly for these types of jobs. That way, it's a win-win for both you and the person you're helping. They get their job done quickly, and you make some extra money.

Depending on the job, it's possible to make anywhere from $20 per hour to over $40 per hour.

For example, in my area, it's possible to earn $39 an hour assembling furniture! Not bad!

Taskrabbit Pay

If you need to make 300 dollars in a week – try doing odd jobs.

7. Flipping

Flipping can be a fun side hustle that can make you a ton of money if done correctly.

It's the process of buying something for a low price and selling it for a higher price.

It sounds so simple, but it's not always that easy.

You need to have an understanding of the true value of something and what you can sell it for.

There are many things you can flip but some of the most popular items include things like furniture, electronics, and even domain names.

Don’t just run out and start buying things up to “flip”. Focus on things that you know and understand for success. Do your research and find the good deals to focus on.

I recommend browsing Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist for items to flip. You can also find some good deals on eBay as well.

For example, I found this coffee table completely free in my area. I should be able to sell it for a quick $50 or $100.

Flipping Side Hustle

8. Sell Things

If you're wondering how to make 300 dollars in a week – selling things you own might be one of the fastest ways to reach your goal.

For example, if you have a television you don't need – there's a decent chance you could make $300 by selling it.

Some other things you could sell to make money include:

  • Designer clothes or handbags
  • Electronics
  • Furniture

9. Proofreading

If you’re good at things like spelling, grammar, and editing – proofreading might be a great side hustle for you. Just like there are freelance writers, there are freelance proofreaders and editors who can make money from their skills.

You do need to have a decent grasp on proper English (or another language) and some grammatical skills to get started as it will be your job to pinpoint errors in someone else’s writing.

And there are also a lot of great tools that you can use for editing purposes too. For example, Grammarly can help point out basic errors, and the Hemingway editor can also pick up on things you might have missed.

The pay as a proofreader can be lucrative with some proofreaders making over $25 an hour for their time.

Average Proofreader Salary

The best part of this remote side hustle is that you can work from anywhere with a dependable internet connection and you can set your own hours.

If you want to be self employed, working as a proofreader is a great option to consider.

To find clients, you can search job boards like Upwork and Fiverr, or you can reach out to businesses and individuals directly.

If you're ready to get started, I recommend checking out the Proofread Anywhere course to learn everything you need to know to make money and land clients as a proofreader!

10. Find a Part Time Job

If you want a guaranteed ways to make $300 in a week – picking up a part time job could be the perfect option for you.

Instead of freelancing, taking on gig apps, or trying to make sales, you could just get a part-time job.

So many places are hiring, so you’re likely going to be able to find something that appeals to you quickly.

Taking on a part-time job can be a great way to make a steady, reliable income. You may need to do some searching to find the right fit, but you certainly have opportunities.

If you’re struggling to find anything in your area, start looking online. Many companies have online part-time opportunities.

You might be able to find customer service roles, administrative roles, or something else that fits into a niche with your talents or your background.

If you want to make 300 dollars in a week, working a part time job is a great option to consider.

11. Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing has become increasingly popular as a means to make money. It might just be the ticket for you to make 300 dollars in a week but you never know, you might make a lot more!

A lot of people take on affiliate marketing through platforms like a website, blog, or social media.

For example, if you have a blog, you can post your affiliate links throughout the post to make money.

Some people might consider this a passive side hustle because you don't have to do any actual work in order to earn money.

Once your blog is built, you can earn money over and over again through your affiliate links.

Some affiliate marketers can earn over $100k a month from their efforts.

Yes, $100k a MONTH!

So if you want to make 300 dollars in a week online – give this method a try.

12. Start a Business

You don’t always have to rely on others to give you an opportunity for employment. You could simply start your own business.

Now, starting a business isn't always easy and it will require a ton of hard work to become successful. But if you're up for the challenge, this is a great way to escape the rat race and make a great income.

Statistics show that almost 10% of startups fail within the first year. But that means that 90% make it past the first year.

You can start a business on just about anything.

It could be lawn care, pressure washing, or even building an app.

It's a good idea to start something you're passionate about in order to be successful because you'll likely spend long hours working on your business at first.

If you're not sure what type of business to start, check out these profitable business ideas to get started.

13. Babysitting

Finally, babysitting is a great way to earn some extra money. You could even do things like dog sitting or house sitting to make some extra cash. You just need to be able to make sure people know you have these services and that you’re reliable.

Babysitting doesn’t just have to be a teenage side hustle for high schoolers, although it’s a great way for them to make some money. Adults can offer babysitting services too.

When it comes to babysitting, you can take classes and lessons to improve your skills and make you more desirable. Some babysitters have CPR certifications, which is always a plus.

When you think about it, this is what daycare providers are doing, but they do it on a massive scale.

You can start by advertising your services to friends, family, and neighbors. You can also join a babysitting service like Care.com where you can get matched with families in your area that need babysitting services.

You could also look for opportunities like becoming a nanny, working for a daycare facility, or other jobs that are similar to babysitting to make $300 fast

14. Rent Out Your Vehicle

If you're looking for an easy way to make money doing nothing, renting out your vehicle on a platform like Turo could be a great option.

You can easily make 300 dollars in a week with this option, but the exact amount you can earn will depend on your city and your vehicle.

With some vehicles you can make $100 a day or more!

15. Try Creative Ways to Make Money

There are many different creative options you can use to make money.

For example, if you own a drone – why not make money with a drone?

Other options include:

16. Take Out a Loan

Last on my list is taking out a loan to get $300 instantly.

While this option is not for everyone, it is an option for those who are in dire need of money and can’t seem to come up with the funds any other way.

I would only recommend taking out a loan as a last resort because you will have to pay the money back with interest.

Be sure to fully understand the terms of the loan before taking one out.

I've used ZippyLoans before and would totally recommend them again if you need money quickly.
